The Milwaukee Bucks took off to a great start to their 2025-26 NBA campaign, as they demolished the Washington Wizards at Fiserv Forum on Wednesday, 133-120. The game also marked the first game of star big man Myles Turner with Milwaukee. Turner used to play for a Bucks rival, the Indiana Pacers, but signed with Milwaukee in the offseason, following the Pacers’ loss in the 2025 NBA Finals to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Giannis Antetokounmpo led the way for the Bucks with 37 points and 14 boards. And with everyone on the starting lineup scoring at least 10 points, Turner didn’t really need to put up big scoring numbers to make an impact. Turner scored 11 points and grabbed five rebounds to go with five assists and three blocks in an all-around solid performance for Milwaukee.
Turner got off to a nice start in his stint with Milwaukee. Although he did not post an eye-popping stat line, he was mostly effective in playing his role at the five for the Bucks.
And perhaps more importantly, he enjoyed his first game as a Buck, helping his new team take down the Wizards. That’s not to mention the emphatic poster dunk he unleashed in the first quarter that got everyone in the building losing it.
“@FiservForum & @Bucks Fans Y’all’s Energy Was DOPE Tonight Man!!! Preciate Yall Making My Debut Special!
,” Turner wrote in a post on X , formerly Twitter, following the win over Khris Middleton and Washington.
Now that he’s finally experienced the authentic experience of playing wearing Bucks colors, Turner will look to step it up in the next game, when Milwaukee takes on the Toronto Raptors on the road this coming Friday.
