Anthony Edwards not only led the Minnesota Timberwolves to a win against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday, but he also made history in the process.

Edwards dropped 25 points on 10-of-20 shooting and added seven rebounds, nine assists, one steal and one block to help the Timberwolves take the 131-122 victory.

Minnesota trailed by as many as nine points in the second quarter, but Edwards and company turned things around in the third and built a 20-point lead. Edwards and Julius Randle scored 23 of the team's 43 points in the quarter to take full control of the game.

With his performance, Edwards also breached the 10,000-point mark. He entered the contest with 9,977 points at 24 years and 156 days old.

According to the NBA, the Timberwolves star became the third-youngest player to reach 10,000 points, only behind LeBron James and Kevin Durant. He's also only the seventh player to achieve the feat before turning 25, alongside James, KD, Kobe Bryant, Luka Doncic, Tracy McGrady and Carmelo Anthony.

For what it's worth, James reached 10,000 points when he was 23 years and 56 days old, while Durant did it at 24 years and 33 days old.

Edwards surpassed Bryant on the list. The Los Angeles Lakers icon previously held the No. 3 spot for the youngest to score 10K points when he achieved it at 24 years and 194 days old.

The Timberwolves will face the Cavaliers again on Saturday. Sure enough, it will be interesting to see if Edwards makes another history, as Minnesota looks to further climb the Western Conference standings.
