Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards had an average showing to kick off the Western Conference Finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Edwards scored just 18 points on 5-of-13 shooting in 37 minutes logged.
It took just 48 minutes for fans to be in a frenzy over the series between the two sides, too.
The focus is on Shai Gilgeous-Alexander for multiple reasons.
The Thunder superstar guard, who attempted 14 free throws in Game 1, has been all over social media, with fans quite angry with his foul-drawing tactics.
On the other hand, Gilgeous-Alexander received the Most Valuable Player award on Wednesday night.
Needless to say, it's been quite an eventful 24 hours for the Kentucky product.
On the other side of the matchup is Edwards, who has been brilliant during the current playoff run.
The Georgia product has led the Timberwolves to a resurgence beginning in early March, and that's bled into the playoffs.
However, his post-game antics following Game 1 have him in a bit of trouble. Edwards has been struck with a $50,000 fine after a 114-88 loss on Tuesday, as the NBA announced.

While Gilgeous-Alexander, along with his Thunder teammates, gets to celebrate an MVP victory, Edwards has to reflect on a blowout Game 1 loss and take a $50,000 hit.
Edwards is expected to improve upon his play heavily in Game 2, as he's got an idea of what to expect against the Thunder.
After a gutting loss to open the series, a hefty fine will help motivate Edwards to turn things around throughout the rest of the Western Conference Finals.
