The first round of the NBA playoffs, for the most part, has delivered.
The opening weekend of the playoffs was a hit, with a massive bump in ratings from just last year. The high-quality matchups have continued this past week, though.
One of the most intriguing matchups underway is the Los Angeles Lakers' first-round series against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
With LeBron James and Luka Doncic leading the way in Los Angeles, they've fallen down 3-1 to the Anthony Edwards-led Timberwolves.
Having an absurd level of star power in the series, many fans have been eager to see the games play out.
The Timberwolves have gotten the best of the Lakers, despite the opposition having Doncic and James -- two of the most dominant stars.
While Julius Randle's elevated play is certainly one key reason for the way the series has played out, Edwards has been the superstar the Timberwolves have needed.
Fresh off a 43-point performance, the 23-year-old is proving to have an incredibly high ceiling -- while being able to deliver on the biggest stage.
Kendrick Perkins, an NBA champion and ESPN analyst, has a clear stance between Doncic and Edwards.
"Anthony Edwards is going to win a championship before Luka Doncic. Anthony Edwards is built different. [Ant] is a better all-around basketball player than Luka Doncic," Perkins explained.

While Doncic is a supreme talent -- having filled the stat sheet every season since he entered the NBA -- Edwards has risen to a point where he can't be denied.
The Georgia product has intangibles of a winner while delivering on the hardwood.
He plays hard-nosed defense. His play style leads to wins. He dominates. His team rallies behind him, too.
Doncic is brilliant on offense. He's among the most skilled in the league. He's not going to control a game with his defense and intensity, though.
Perkins may have a point. Edwards could win a title before Doncic. Plenty of that relies on how the Timberwolves continue to build around him, though.
