Of course, the Pistons had the upper hand over the Knicks in the regular season as they won three of their four matchups.
Because of this, Detroit may be able to advance past the first round of the playoffs but they will need to play at their best, especially with the talent New York has.
New York has a great core built around Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns, Mikal Bridges, OG Anunoby and Josh Hart, but they have struggled against the top teams in the NBA this season, including Detroit.
Of course, the Pistons have built out a solid core as well led by Cunningham, Tobias Harris, Jalen Duren and Beasley and it is clear that they match up well against the Knicks.
Due to this, the Knicks may be on upset alert in the first round with the Pistons having their number so far this season.
