
Kevin Durant is looking to lead the Houston Rockets to their second win in two nights on Sunday. They face the Sacramento Kings on the road, following Houston’s 115-101 win over the Denver Nuggets on Saturday.
Durant went off against Nikola Jokic and Co., finishing with 31 points on 8-of-14 shooting, to go along with six rebounds, five assists, a block and five triples in 40 minutes of action. The Rockets improved to 17-8 after taking down Denver, and they are looking for another victory on Sunday against Sacramento.
Durant, who is currently in his first year with the Rockets following his big move during the offseason, has averaged 25.4 points on 51.5% shooting, 4.8 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.0 blocks in 23 games played this term. The former NBA MVP is also connecting on 2.0 three-pointers per game on a 44.3% clip.
The Rockets entered Sunday’s contest fifth in the Western Conference. They’ve found considerable success in the early stages of the season, and this has been thanks in large part to Durant’s strong play.
Durant marked another major career milestone in Sunday’s game. The NBA took to social media to announce the 37-year-old's latest historic feat.

As the announcement indicates, Durant has joined elite company with his newest milestone. Michael Jordan and LeBron James are widely considered two of the greatest players ever to pick up a basketball, and for Durant to be in the same category as these two legends speaks volumes about Durant’s own legacy.
It has been a tightly contested affair in Houston thus far. As of writing, Durant and the Rockets are up 100-93 with nine minutes left in the game
