Steph Curry caught fire in the Golden State Warriors' back-to-back games against the San Antonio Spurs, recording 95 points in that span to help the team claim two straight victories.
On Wednesday, Curry exploded for 46 points on 13-of-25 shooting to help the Warriors secure a 125-120 win. Then on Friday, he was back at it again, this time recording a monster 49 points on 16-of-26 shooting for the Dubs' 109-108 victory.
It's Curry's third 40-point game of the season. According to NBA history, it's also his seventh 45-point performance since turning 35 years old. The Warriors guard is currently 37 years old.
In the process, Curry surpassed Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James for the most 45-point games for a player aged 35 or older. James has six of such games.
"Stephen Curry now has 7 games of 45+ PTS after turning 35 years old. He passes LeBron James (6) for the most such games in NBA history!" NBA History wrote on social media on Saturday.

For what it's worth, that's not the only old-man history that Curry achieved following his latest performance.
Curry also matched Michael Jordan's record for the most 40-point games since turning 30. He now has 44 such games.
Furthermore, as the Warriors revealed, Curry joined Jordan and James "as the only players over 37 to have back-to-back games of 40+ points in NBA history."
Considering how well Curry is playing this campaign, he is well on track to add more to his 45-point game record and surpass Jordan for the most 40-point games by a player aged 30 or older.
