NBA Monday prop bets: Karl-Anthony Towns threes made

It was an amazing win, and soon after, I checked out Towns' schedule and set a reminder on my phone: bet KAT threes on 2/28.

That's right, he's in Cleveland Monday night playing the Cavaliers.

Numbers Suggest This is a Good Bet

The above anecdote was of course meant as a funny reason for why this is even on my radar, I haven't been as connected to the NBA the last few months, with more of my focus on the NHL.

Still, that career percentage in games against the Cavaliers has merit, and KAT has other positive trends to suggest a big night may be in store.

For starters, the Timberwolves big has hit this 1.5 line in four straight games and at a 65% rate on the season.

He's also getting the attempts up, and volume is king. In his past four games, Towns is averaging six threes attempted per game.

Against Cleveland earlier this year, KAT chucked up seven threes, missing all of them. He was in Minnesota, and again, this bet is built on his career success in this arena.

Someone on Twitter flagged that KAT loves playing on Mondays. In seven Monday games this season, he's averaging 3.3 threes made per game on 44.2% shooting, extremely solid numbers.

The Cavaliers let Joel Embiid make four threes in a game the last time they played a comparable big man, so why not a repeat performance?

While this is lighthearted in nature, there's enough to like that I'm betting on this prop.
