Nets

The Nets have agreed to a two-year, $12 million contract with free agent center Day’Ron Sharpe, reports Michael Scotto of HoopsHype. The second year of the deal includes a team option.

Sharpe, 23, was the 29th pick in the 2021 draft and has carved out a rotational role with Brooklyn over the past four seasons. Despite limited starts, he made his presence felt in 2024/25, averaging 7.9 points and 6.6 rebounds in 18.1 minutes per game.

He was one of the NBA’s top offensive rebounders and led the team in net rating impact, with Brooklyn outscoring opponents when he was on the floor. His on-court value stood out on a Nets squad that otherwise finished 26-56.

Thunder

Thunder general manager Sam Presti announced that Jalen Williams will undergo surgery to repair a torn ligament in his right wrist, per Ryan Stiles of SI.com. Williams reportedly played through the injury for the final two months of the season and is expected to be ready for opening night.

The rising star averaged 21.6 points, 5.3 rebounds and 5.1 assists in his second season and earned All-NBA Third Team and All-Defensive Second Team honors for the NBA champions.

Timberwolves

The Timberwolves are bringing back veteran forward Joe Ingles on a one-year, $3.6 million deal, per Shams Charania of ESPN. The 37-year-old appeared in just 19 games last season but was valued for his leadership and chemistry.

He’ll return on a veteran minimum contract and remain one of the league’s most respected locker room presences.
