NBA rising star Scoot Henderson just can't catch a break amid a string of bad luck.
The Portland Trail Blazers guard missed Friday's game against the Houston Rockets due to a left quad contusion, which he suffered during Wednesday's loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Henderson has also been ruled out for Saturday's contest with the Rockets, this time due to a back strain.
Apparently, however, it's not only injuries that the 20-year-old has to deal with. According to Sean Highkin of Rose Garden Report, Henderson got involved in a minor car accident on Thursday.
"According to a league source, Scoot Henderson was involved in a minor accident in a ride share and was rear ended on Thursday afternoon while in Houston," Highkin revealed.
The Blazers insider added that Henderson is fine and didn't suffer any injuries. There was also no mention of the youngster suffering any ill effects as a result of the accident.
"He’s fine but will be out tonight with a back strain and considered day-to-day going forward," Highkin further stated.

Scoot Henderson has averaged 11.3 points, 2.9 rebounds and 5.2 assists in the 15 games he has played so far for the Blazers. His numbers are down from last season, with his role decreasing as well after starting in just three games.
It remains to be seen when Henderson will be able to return. But despite missing his second straight game and getting into an accident, it looks like fans have nothing to worry about regarding his health.
