The Golden State Warriors suffered a tough loss on Sunday, falling to the No. 2 seed Houston Rockets at home, 106-96.
This was an important game for the Warriors, who are still fighting to secure a Top 6 finish in the West and a guaranteed playoff spot. They came up short, though, as Golden State saw their five-game winning streak come to an end at Chase Center against a determined Rockets side.
Steph Curry came crashing down to earth on Sunday amid his recent hot streak. It was a completely forgettable performance from the two-time NBA MVP, who finished with just three points on 1-of-10 shooting in 33 minutes of action.
Despite his off night, however, Curry was still able to make history by passing NBA shooting legend Reggie Miller on the NBA's all-time scoring list.
It did not take long for Miller to react to Curry's feat as the Indiana Pacers icon subtly shouted out the Warriors guard via social media.
Miller did so by sharing a post from NBA on TNT that announced Curry's incredible achievement.

In his next Instagram story, Miller shared a video of Curry talking about overtaking Miller's record heading into Sunday's contest. According to the four-time NBA champ, it was going to be a "special" moment for him to pass one of his idols on the all-time scoring list.
By sharing the clip, it appears that Miller has acknowledged Curry's hat tip.

Unfortunately for Curry, his latest historic milestone came on a very forgettable evening -- both on a personal level and for his team.
The Warriors had an opportunity to separate themselves from the pack with a win on Sunday, but they have instead fallen to 46-32. They are currently on a four-way tie with the Los Angeles Clippers, Minnesota Timberwolves and Memphis Grizzlies for the No. 5 spot in the West.
Curry and Co. now have just four more games remaining in the regular season. They return to action on Tuesday against the Phoenix Suns, followed by a home matchup against the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday.
