NBA Star LaMelo Ball Names His Son, 'LaOne'

When it comes to naming children, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree for LaMelo Ball.

LaVar Ball named his three sons: Lonzo, LiAngelo and LaMelo. All three boys ended up making it in basketball. Lonzo and LaMelo became NBA players, making tens of millions of dollars, while LiAngelo briefly played at UCLA and professionally, before getting into a rapping career.

LaMelo Ball, who currently stars for the Charlotte Hornets, has welcomed a son into the world, with his 39-year-old partner, Ana Montana.

The NBA star and the model, whose real name is Analicia Chaves, welcomed a baby boy named "LaOne."

The couple spoke to PEOPLE about the name and the news.

"Welcoming LaOne into the world has changed our hearts in the best way," the couple told PEOPLE. "Family has always meant everything to us, but becoming parents has given us an entirely new perspective on love, purpose, legacy and what truly matters most."

"He has brought so much happiness and meaning into our lives, and we're incredibly grateful to God for trusting us with such a special blessing," they continue. "We're embracing this new chapter with so much love and excitement as we raise and guide our son together."

The couple is launching a special non-profit, as well

The couple is launching I Am Fertility, a platform and nonprofit "dedicated to supporting women navigating fertility and IVF journeys."

The couple wants to give back after using IVF with their journey.

"At one point during my IVF journey, I felt overwhelmed, emotional, isolated and unsure where to turn," Montana said. "That experience inspired me to create I Am Fertility as a safe space where women don't have to face this journey alone."
