Ben Simmons is one of the most talked-about players in the NBA right now when it comes to trade rumors. The 76ers' All-Star has been the subject of heavy criticisms over the last few months after his poor showing during the NBA Playoffs. Despite having a strong performance during the regular season, where he was a strong contender to win the Defensive Player Of The Year, Simmons' time in Philly may be up.

Reports have suggested that the 76ers are ready to part way with Simmons, but for a heavy price. NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the 76ers want a 'Harden-esque' trade package to let go of Simmons this offseason. And as of now, they are struggling to get that kind of package for him. Simmons' trade value is a lot lower now thanks to the poor showing during the playoffs. And one team has passed on the opportunity to bring in the All-Star.

The Ringer's Kevin O'Conner reported on 'The Mismatch' podcast that the San Antonio Spurs turned down a proposed trade for Ben Simmons by the Philadelphia 76ers. O'Conner reported that the 76ers had asked for a huge return for Ben Simmons. According to him, the 76ers demanded four first-round draft picks, three pick swaps, and a young player from the San Antonio Spurs. O'Conner noted that neither the Spurs nor any other team will be willing to give that up for Ben Simmons.

"There's so much stuff floating out there right now about the Sixers having outrageous demands like wanting four first-round draft picks, and three pick swaps, and a young player from the Spurs they say now...All these deals you hear about are outrageous. Nobody will do it for Ben Simmons."

Right now, the 76ers are really struggling to get rid of Ben Simmons. And the problem isn't Simmons, it is what the 76ers are demanding for him. Teams feel as though the demands of the 76ers don't line up with the player they are receiving in Simmons. Daryl Morey, the 76ers President of Basketball Operations, has been known for making deals happen, but he may have to lower the franchise's demands in order to get rid of Simmons.
