NBA unveils special diamond-shaped logo ahead of 75th anniversary

The NBA unveiled a special diamond-shaped logo that it will use to commemorate the league's 75th anniversary, as reported by CBS Sports among other outlets.

In a statement, the league said the special spin on the Jerry West silhouette will "appear throughout the 2021-22 season on courts and official NBA merchandise, inside arenas and in original broadcast, digital and social media content."

As CBS points out, the NBA hasn't made many adjustments to its original logo since its inception in 1946. The league didn't adopt a special logo to commemorate its 50th anniversary, which was in 1996.
