Nets Hijack First Round Of Draft With Five Picks

While the spotlight shines on stars like Kristaps Porzingis heading to Atlanta and Jrue Holiday landing in Portland, it’s the Brooklyn Nets who quietly hold the keys to the 2025 NBA Draft.

After a flurry of deals, the Nets now own five first-round picks:

Nos. 8, 19, 22, 26, and 27.

That’s one-sixth of the entire first round — an absurd amount of control for a franchise in the early stages of a rebuild.

Brooklyn moved on from Mikal Bridges last summer and has spent the past year collecting assets. Now, with a full war chest of picks, GM Sean Marks has options. Trade up? Trade out? Package for a player? All on the table.

The No. 8 pick will be Brooklyn’s first lottery selection since 2016. But with four more picks behind it, the Nets could reshape their future in one night.

And maybe even someone else’s.
