Nets Sign, Waive Isaiah Wong, Dwight Murray Jr.

The Nets officially signed and then requested waivers on guards Isaiah Wong and Dwight Murray Jr., according to Brian Lewis of The New York Post (Twitter link).

Both players appear likely to suit for the Long Island Nets this fall, as Brooklyn’s G League affiliate made a pair of separate trades to acquire their returning rights earlier this month. Signing Exhibit 10 contracts with the Nets will ensure that Wong and Murray receive bonuses worth up to $91K on top of their base G League salaries if they spend at least 60 days with Long Island.

The 55th overall pick in the 2023 NBA draft, Wong made 21 regular season appearances for Indiana and Charlotte from 2023-25 before heading overseas last season to play for Gran Canaria in Spain. The 6’4″ guard averaged 14.6 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 2.0 assists in 22.6 minutes per game over the course of 34 outings in Spain’s domestic league (Liga ACB) in 2025/26.

Murray, meanwhile, has played primarily in the G League since going undrafted out of Rider in 2023. In 47 appearances last season for the College Park Skyhawks, the 26-year-old contributed 8.7 points, 5.0 assists, and 3.4 rebounds in 23.1 minutes per contest, with a shooting line of .437/.323/.818.

Because Wong and Murray were waived shortly after being signed, the transactions don’t affect Brooklyn’s current roster situation. The Nets have 18 players under contract, including 15 on standard guaranteed deals.
