The duo of Josh Hart and Jalen Brunson is touted as of the funniest tandems in the NBA today. Since teaming up last year, the two New York Knicks stars have given fans a multitude of things to laugh about; they even started a podcast together, called “The Roommates Show,” also featuring Matt Hillman.

In a clip of the “Picture Me Scrollin’” segment from their recent episode shared on X on Thursday, the trio watched a clip of Hart inadvertently putting his left hand on Brunson’s seat during the Knicks’ preseason game against the Charlotte Hornets. Neither Hart nor Brunson played that night; Mikal Bridges and Karl-Anthony Towns didn’t, either.

Hart explained himself after they watched the clip. “I wasn’t paying attention and my hand was accidentally on—you can see I’m not paying attention, it was accidentally on JB’s seat,” Hart said.

He continued, “Mikal looked at me and said, ‘Bro, there’s something seriously wrong with you.’ I’m like, ‘Why?'”

Josh Hart went on to claim that Jalen Brunson actually saw his hand on his seat, but still sat down anyway. The clip of the hilarious moment went viral among the Knicks faithful.

Josh Hart says playing on ring night sucks

Josh Hart, Jalen Brunson, and the New York Knicks opened their season on Tuesday against the Boston Celtics, who held their ring ceremony that night. The Knicks struggled to hang with the defending champions and ended up suffering a 132-109 loss.

Hart had a decent game, playing for 24 minutes and finishing with 12 points, four rebounds, and three assists. However, the rest of the team had scoring troubles that night.

OG Anunoby sank only one of his seven shot attempts, finishing with four points, five rebounds, and three assists. Mikal Bridges also didn’t have a great night; despite scoring 16 points, he had difficulty shooting from beyond the arc, making only two out of his seven attempts.

In the same episode of “The Roommates Show,” Josh Hart expressed his feelings on playing at ring night.

“It sucks… Playing on ring night sucks,” he said. “First off, nothing in the NBA starts on time. It says 7:30, tip-off is going to be like 7:43… It’s just like an extra 15 minutes. For them, obviously it’s dope because they get their rings, the atmosphere, the environment is going to be crazy. But for the opposing team, it just sucks, you’re just sitting there adding another 15-20 minutes to the warmup.”

For their second game this season, the Knicks are looking to score their first win against the Indiana Pacers, the team they defeated in the Eastern Conference semifinals of the 2024 playoffs.
