Jacob Toppin is coming off his rookie season where he appeared in nine games for the New York Knicks. The former Kentucky star finished the year with averages of 1.4 points per contest while shooting 55.6% from the field. On Wednesday, the Knicks announced that they have officially signed Toppin to a two-way contract. Via SNY's Ian Begley: "Knicks announce that they’ve signed Jacob Toppin to a two-way contract. They have a maximum of three players on two-way deals:" Toppin spent the majority of his year in the G League. He averaged 19.8 points, 8.5 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.0 blocks per contest while shooting 48.8% from the field and 33.8% from the three-point range in 25 regular season games. He is an intriguing player for New York and spent all of last year with the organization. In addition, Toppin is the younger brother of former Knicks star Obi.
