On Saturday evening, the New York Knicks defeated the Washington Wizards (on the road) by a score of 121-105.
Taj Gibson did not appear in the game, and on Sunday, Fred Katz of The Athletic reported that the Knicks will waive the 15-year NBA veteran.
Via Katz: "The Knicks are waiving Taj Gibson, sources tell @TheAthletic. Gives the Knicks extra flexibility leading into the trade deadline. They will have 14 players, which gives them the ability to make a two-for-one or three-for-two trade. Gibson’s contract was set to guarantee today."
