Nikola Jokić’s return to the floor couldn’t have been more emphatic.
In his first game back after nearly a month on the sideline, Nikola Jokić delivered a statistical masterpiece to power the Denver Nuggets to a 122–109 win over the surging Los Angeles Clippers . Despite being limited to just 25 minutes, Jokić posted one of the most efficient and impactful performances of the season.

The reigning superstar finished with 31 points, 12 rebounds, and 5 assists while shooting an incredible 8-for-11 from the field (72.7%), 2-for-3 from three-point range, and 13-for-17 from the free-throw line. In other words, Jokić averaged more than a point per minute, controlled the glass, facilitated the offense, and rarely wasted a possession.
To put his night into perspective: in just over half a game’s worth of minutes, Jokić produced a 31-point double-double, committed only one turnover, and posted a +11 plus-minus. Few players in the league can dominate a game that thoroughly in such limited time — fewer still can do it after a month away.
From the opening tip, Jokić looked sharp. He scored from every level: soft hooks in the post, step-back midrange jumpers, pick-and-pop threes, and constant trips to the foul line. The Clippers tried multiple defenders and coverages, but none could slow his rhythm. When they collapsed, he found open teammates. When they stayed home, he attacked.
Denver’s offense ran at peak efficiency with Jokić on the floor. His passing and gravity opened lanes for cutters and shooters, while his scoring forced double teams that never truly worked. Jamal Murray benefited from that attention, finishing with 20 points and nine assists, but the engine was unmistakably Jokić.
Defensively, his impact showed up in the box score as well. Jokić pulled down 12 rebounds (10 defensive, 2 offensive) and added three steals, helping limit second-chance opportunities and ignite transition offense. His positioning and awareness consistently put Denver in control.
Perhaps most impressive was how effortless it all looked. No rust. No hesitation. No adjustment period. Just elite production from the opening minutes.
Against one of the hottest teams in the league, Jokić proved that even at partial strength and on a minutes restriction, he remains one of basketball’s most dominant forces. A 31-point, 12-rebound performance in 25 minutes wasn’t just a strong return — it was a statement.
Nikola Jokić is back. And the numbers say everything.
