It seems like the legend of Nikola Jokic keeps growing.
Day-by-day, season-by-season, he continues to impress Denver Nuggets fans and NBA pundits alike.
The Nuggets weren't entirely playing up to their potential early in the season.
During roughly the first month, the Nuggets were 9-7 and the No. 8 seed in the Western Conference.
It was hard to think Jokic could get much better, but through that first month, he was averaging career highs nearly across the board.
Things changed once Russell Westbrook was inserted into the starting lineup while Aaron Gordon was out due to injury.
Fast forward to the present day, the Nuggets sit at 36-19 as the No. 3 seed in the West.
While doing so, Jokic accomplished a feat that no other player in the history of the NBA has accomplished.
He's the only player in NBA history to reach 17,500+ points, 8,500+ rebounds, and 5,500+ assists before turning 30.

Some in the league think Jokic may not be long for the NBA. While he is dominant, some have questioned whether he loves the game.
Whether or not that's true, it does beg the question: If Jokic has accomplished all of these feats, such as an NBA title and three MVP awards, what's left to accomplish?
If he does indeed stick around for the long haul into his late 30s, this will be far from the last impressive Jokic feat, but just the latest.
He's currently +300 in the MVP odds.
When a player like Jokic is putting up the best numbers of his three-time MVP career, it almost sounds silly to consider anyone else.
Despite their surge up the standings, the Nuggets are unlikely to catch the Oklahoma City Thunder for first place, but Jokic's MVP case should be strong at the end of the season.
