The Denver Nuggets failed to reach the conference finals for the second consecutive season after winning their first NBA championship in 2023. The Nuggets were eliminated in Game 7 against the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference semifinals with a final score of 125-93 on Sunday.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the Thunder with 35 points, while Jalen Williams added 24 points. Though the Nuggets started strong and won the first quarter, it went downhill from there as the Thunder maintained a strong defensive presence throughout the game.
Now that's officially offseason for the Nuggets, star player and center Nikola Jokic officially revealed his plans for the offseason after the tough Game 7 loss.
"We'll see. But for now, next couple of days is gonna be a lot of beer probably," Jokic added.

Though Jokic led the Nuggets on Sunday with 20 points, nine rebounds and seven assists, Denver struggled offensively. Aaron Gordon, a key player for the Nuggets throughout the playoffs who hit the winner in Game 1 against the Thunder, started despite a strained left hamstring. He had eight points and 11 rebounds in 24 minutes.
The 30-year-old athlete was just as good during the playoffs, averaging 26.7 points per game on 48.6 percent shooting from the court. In addition, Jokic averaged 13.0 rebounds, 8.1 assists and 2.2 steals per game in 14 games during the regular NBA season and 40.5 minutes of action.
The Serbian basketball player was drafted 41st overall by the Denver Nuggets in 2014 and quickly rose to stardom. Jokic won back-to-back NBA MVP awards in 2021 and 2022 and led the Nuggets to their first-ever NBA championship in 2023, earning Finals MVP honors.
