Nikola Vucevic’s time with the Boston Celtics is over after he decided this summer to take his talents back to where he started to blossom into an NBA star.
Vucevic is back with the Orlando Magic after agreeing to a one-year contract worth $3.9 million with the franchise — and after a short stint with the Celtics, who posted a farewell message for him on social media.
In the said post, Boston featured a graphic showing the veteran big man in different poses and captioned it with “Thank you, @NikolaVucevic.”

Well, the two-time NBA All-Star later saw the post and hilariously responded to it.
“Thank you for posting this but all it did is set me up for the lovely replies,” Vucevic wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
Apparently, Boston’s farewell post for him has sparked all sorts of wild reactions from fans.
Here are some of the replies to the Celtics’ message:
“It takes a lot for me to question my love for the game but this guy somehow achieved that,” a fan said.
“Bro did not deserve a thank you post ,” a social media user on X shared.
“Yeah, thanks for tainting number 4 and selling all season and losing simons only for philly to pay him $6 million usd per year,” another one commented.
“Another Bad Creation brought to you by Brad f**king Stevens ,” a different fan said.
The 35-year-old Vucevic, however, should feel more loved by Magic fans now that he’s returning to Orlando.
Traded by the Chicago Bulls before the February deadline to the Celtics, Vucevic averaged 9.7 points and 6.6 rebounds in just 16 games in Boston threads.
