The top overall recruit in the 2025 recruiting class will make his college commitment on Tuesday, December 10. A.J. Dybantsa, the consensus No. 1 recruit, announced on his Instagram that he will choose his college destination at 10:30 a.m. live on First Take on ESPN.
Dybantsa's recruitment is a four-team race, with BYU, North Carolina, Kansas and Alabama keying in on one of the most highly-touted recruits in recent years. The Cougars and Crimson Tide are seen as the front-runners for the projected top overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft.
The 6-foot-9, 210 small forward plays his high school ball for Utah Prep in Hurricane, Utah. According to MaxPreps, Dybantsa's squad is ranked as the No. 5 team in the country, with Dybantsa averaging 17.7 points, 10.2 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game.
Dybantsa is one of two top-five players that have yet to commit, with No. 2 prospect Cameron Boozer committed to Duke and No. 3 recruit Darryn Peterson locked in with Kansas.
Alabama currently owns a trio of commitments and is ranked as the No. 11 class in the country, according to 247Sports. The Crimson Tide's group includes three four-stars: Davion Hannah, London Jemison, and Amari Allen.
Hannah, a shooting guard, is ranked as the No. 33 player in the country and No. 7 shooting guard according to The 247Sports Composite. Jemison is slotted at No. 38 in the country and No. 9 power forward, with Amari Allen coming in at No. 96 in the country and No. 21 small forward.
