Chris Paul and the San Antonio Spurs are having a miserable season with a 31-43 record. Making it to the playoffs seem to be long gone as they remain at the 13th position in the Western Conference. The Spurs can only hope for a better season next time.
Meanwhile, Paul’s son, Chris Paul II is having a great run in the EYBL. The rising star received huge praise from his mother Jada. Paul II is a point guard in the class of 2028. The young star had a strong performance in his has game and it was shared by the Slam HS on Instagram.
Jada Paul shared the same on her Instagram profile and praised her son for his performance.
“No place like home,” Jada Paul wrote of her son’s 15U squad.
Chris Paul’s son has a bright future ahead, but he also has great competition with other upcoming stars. Paul II plays along with several NBA star kids, including the Boozer Twins, Alijah Arenas, and Kiyan Anthony.
The San Antonio Spurs dropped their last game against the Golden State Warriors. The Spurs were no match, scoring 106 points and surrendering 148 in return. Warriors coach Steve Kerr mentioned that Paul has a strong future as a coach in the NBA.
Kerr mentioned that Paul would be a fantastic coach.
“Chris would be an amazing coach. I’d be shocked if he didn’t go into it. I loved coaching him last year. Just his IQ, his competitive desire, his commitment to the game itself … it was a joy watching him work every day. More than anything, he loves to play basketball,” Kerr said.
The Warriors coach also mentioned that he admires Chris Paul for his dedication and performance.
“I admire that about him. He prepares himself to play every single night. I hope he plays these last eight or nine,” Kerr continued.
Paul is an incredible player, but he’s yet to win a ring. Sadly, the 39-year-old veteran is at the tail end of his career. The point guard will try to win a ring before he retires, but that seems a little farfetched for now, given that he only has a few years remaining. The Spurs are having a tough run and are riding a four-game losing streak. San Antonio will take on the Orlando Magic in their next game.
