If you’re waiting for LeBron James to announce his next team, you’ll have to keep waiting.

One day after agent Rich Paul insisted James “won’t be rushed” into making his free-agency decision, ESPN’s Dave McMenamin offered a similar update.

“I’ve been told from a source, ‘Nothing happening today,'” McMenamin said Tuesday during an appearance on SportsCenter.

That lines up with Paul’s comments Monday on the Game Over podcast, when he emphasized that James will decide on his own timetable.

“We’re not going to be rushed,” Paul said. “It’s his choice to make, and when he makes the choice, he’ll make it.”

James has been a free agent for three weeks after informing the Lakers he would not return.

The Cavaliers, 76ers, Warriors and Heat continue to be viewed as the leading contenders, though none of those teams has made a significant roster move since James entered free agency.

Paul has maintained throughout the process that all interested teams have made their pitches and there’s nothing more they need to do while James weighs what he has repeatedly called both a basketball and family decision.

“There’s been several people to call and say, ‘Hey, Rich, is there anything more we should be doing? We could be doing?’” Paul said. “And my answer is, ‘No. We don’t need you to go above and beyond about anything. We understand it. It’s clear. All the messages have been sent.’”
