The 'NBA blocks champions' quiz

In his first-career NBA Playoffs run, Victor Wembanyama was able to bring the Spurs to the NBA Finals for the first time since 2014 before falling to the New York Knicks.

Now eligible for his first contact extension, he’s taking a page out of the victor’s book, signing for “just,” $252 million over five years. He could have gone for the supermax extension of $303 million, but like Finals MVP Jalen Brunson in 2024, took less money to give the team more financial flexibility.

Wembanyama averaged 25.0 points and 11.5 rebounds while leading the NBA for the third year in a row with 3.1 blocks-per-game last season en route to a Defensive Player of the Year and First Team All-NBA nod.

Which brings us to today’s quiz. Wemby has averaged more than three blocks-per-game in each of his three regular seasons and continued that in his first postseason foray with 3.5 in 22 playoff games this year. With that being said, can you name every NBA blocks champion since 1976-77?

Good luck!
