The Denver Nuggets lost Game 7 on the road to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday as Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Jalen Williams of OKC combined for nearly 50 points.
The Nuggets tough loss obscured a valiant, bravehearted effort by star forward Aaron Gordon, who did his best to play through a Grade 2 hamstring sprain.
Gordon wound up with eight points and 11 rebounds in 24 minutes of game action.
Following the game, Gordon stumped for a change to the league's current scheduling policies as he opined on the effect the tightly packed schedule had on players' ability to perform.
"I would really, really appreciate it if there were a couple days in between games in the playoffs instead of every other day," Gordon said.
"The product of the game would be a lot better. You'll see a higher level of basketball. Probably less blowouts," he continued.

Gordon's comments touched on an age old debate regarding the NBA Playoffs as the league has moved to a more streamlined approach in recent years.
Comments about games being spaced too far apart surfaced in previous years leading up to the 2024-25 season and subsequent playoffs.
Gordon sent a message to the NBA's fallen heroes Damian Lillard, Stephen Curry and Jayson Tatum, all of whom suffered what amounted to season ending injuries.
He said that fatigue was likely a factor in those players' difficult injuries.

"AND healthier players! They need rest man," one fan said.
"This is a horrible idea then the playoffs wouldn't end until July," one fan said.
"That's why the title winner is the champion. They fought through everything and survived."
