Nikola Jokic tallied another triple-double for the Denver Nuggets in their last game. The three-time NBA MVP amassed 14 points, 16 rebounds and 10 assists, leading Denver to a dominant 136-119 win over the Memphis Grizzlies.

The Nuggets have a big one coming up on Friday against the defending champions, the Oklahoma City Thunder. What makes this matchup even more important is the fact that Denver is still fighting for positioning heading into the NBA playoffs.

As of writing, the Nuggets are third in the Western Conference with a 52-28 record. They hold a slim 1.5-game advantage over the fourth-seeded Los Angeles Lakers with just two games left in Denver’s schedule.

The bad news for the Nuggets is that they could be significantly shorthanded against the champs. Denver has already submitted its injury report for the OKC game, and Jokic has been added to it.

The Nuggets announced that Jokic is questionable to play against the Thunder on Friday due to a right wrist issue. The designation also includes “injury management,” which indicates that the eight-time All-Star could be given a night off against the Thunder.

Additionally, Jamal Murray (right shoulder impingement) and Aaron Gordon (right hamstring injury management) are both questionable to play against OKC. This could leave the Nuggets severely undermanned against the NBA's best team.

After Friday’s home matchup against the Thunder, the Nuggets close their season out on the road against the San Antonio Spurs. Denver will need to win at least one of these games to secure the No. 3 seed. They will also need the Lakers to lose at least one of their remaining three contests.
