Nuggets Legend Carmelo Anthony Secures Top 100 Spot After Prolific Scoring Career

Bleacher Report ranked Anthony 60th on their list and there is no doubt that he could have been higher if he had accomplished what other did in the same 2003 draft class like LeBron James and Dwyane Wade.

“An isolation force whose jab-step and one-dribble pull-up attack yielded mid-range buckets and plenty of free-throw attempts, Melo also developed into a stellar three-point shooter as the game moved away from his pet shots,” Bleacher Report’s NBA staff wrote. “Anthony’s best years came with the New York Knicks from 2011 to 2017, but he was also the leading scorer on some excellent Denver Nuggets teams early in his career, the best of which made the Western Conference Finals in 2009.”

Anthony was the third overall pick by the Nuggets in 2003 and he became a star for them during his eight seasons with the franchise.

Despite this, most of his success came during his seven seasons with the Knicks after he was traded to them during the 2010-11 season.

During his career, the Hall of Fame forward was a 10-time All-Star, six-time All-NBA selection and won the scoring title in 2012-13.

Of course, Anthony never won a championship during his NBA career and despite his incredible scoring outputs in New York, his best finish in the MVP race was third in 2012-13.

While Anthony never achieved some of the NBA’s biggest accolades, there is no doubt that he is one of the best players in league history due to his scoring abilities.
