The Denver Nuggets are in a fight for top playoff positioning with just a couple of weeks or so left in the NBA's regular season. They came into Wednesday with a 45-28 record, which puts them in third place in the Western Conference, but they're just half a game ahead of the fourth-place Memphis Grizzlies.
On Wednesday, they will host the Milwaukee Bucks, a team that just got the unfortunate news that star guard Damian Lillard will be out indefinitely due to a case of deep vein thrombosis.
Nikola Jokić missed Denver's last five games due to an ankle injury, but the team has announced that he will be available to play in Wednesday's game.

Jokic, a three-time league MVP, is truly having a season for the ages. He's averaging 29.1 points, 12.8 rebounds and 10.3 assists a game, which means he will likely end up as only the third player in NBA history to average a triple-double for an entire season.
The Nuggets are just two years removed from winning the Larry O'Brien Trophy. While their defense is suspect, they're one of the best offensive teams in the league, and they lead everyone in field-goal percentage, assists per game and fast-break points per game.
