It has all finally come crashing down for the Denver Nuggets. With Nikola Jokic showing some impressive form in the regular season, Denver looked like a strong contender this year. However, once the postseason got underway, things became pretty hectic for the Nuggets. With the rivalry turning fierce, significant chaos was brewing.

Back in game 5, the likes of Jokic, Jamal Murray, and Spencer Jones chipped in with valuable points to clinch a 125-113 victory. This was a huge win as the Nuggets forced game 6 with the series standing at 3-2. Unfortunately, they could not repeat their heroics as the Timberwolves took game 6 110-98 to clinch the series 4-2. And rising to the occasion for the Wolves was none other than Jaden McDaniels.

Jaden McDaniels Drops Stellar Performance to Shut Down Mighty Nuggets

When a key player like Anthony Edwards gets injured, it is not easy for the team to bounce back. But for the Timberwolves, things went from bad to worse. Along with Edwards, they also lost Ayo Dosunmu and Donte DiVincenzo to injuries. But just when the chips were down for Minnesota, the 25-year-old McDaniels put his hands up and decided to prove a point.

Known for his two-way abilities, the Washington native did not want to be a mere replacement. Showing his basketball prowess in the most crucial game, McDaniels dropped a career night, equalling his highest score of 32 points. He also had 10 rebounds, three assists, and a couple of steals to show for. And all of these efforts combined helped Minnesota advance to the next round.

Thankfully, he was not alone. Getting a surprise start, Terrence Shannon Jr., too, made the most of the opportunity he got. Displaying some quality basketball, Shannon Jr. chipped in with 24 points, six rebounds, and one assist to put Denver in some serious spot of bother.

Apart from these two, Rudy Gobert, Naz Reid, and Julius Randle also came together to give their team a 64-40 advantage in the paint, coupled with a 50-33 upper hand in rebounding. On the contrary, dropping 28 points, 10 assists, and nine rebounds, Jokic had a decent game. Unfortunately, his efforts were not enough to take Denver over the line.
