Ochai Agbaji Reveals He Is Engaged
Dan Hamilton-USA TODAY Sports

Ochai Agbaji found a new home this season with the Toronto Raptors.

After striking a deal with the Utah Jazz, Agbaji and Kelly Olynyk came to Toronto with hopes of becoming integral pieces of this rebuild.

While Scottie Barnes suffered an unfortunate injury to his left hand, Agbaji was able to start 18 games for the Raptors. It resulted in some solid performances, but needs more time to become a consistent 3-point shooter.

Regardless, the upside is there and could become a key 3-and-D player off the bench. Which is exciting and hopefully he is able to develop alongside other young players on the team.

In other exciting news, Agabji is now engaged and was revealed on his Instagram story, via Aaron Rose of Sports Illustrated:

This is great news and it is fantastic to see Agbaji be able to put a ring on it. No better time to do so during the offseason.

Nothing better than to have a support system around you, especially as he navigates through his career in the NBA.

With Toronto being his second team now, hopefully it can be seen as a home for the forseeable future for the former Kansas Jayhawk.

Ochai Agbaji is making most out of new opportunity

Previously with the Utah Jazz, a similar situation to Toronto, Agbaji struggled to find a consistent role. With some untimely injuries, Agbaji received an opportunity and showcased some flashes.

Notably in his first start, he put up 13 points and a career-high nine rebounds against the Charlotte Hornets. While also putting up 20 shots, most attempts for him in an NBA game. This sort of aggressiveness is something Toronto needs heading into the 2024-25 season.
