This season has been nothing short of historic for Oklahoma City. A popular pick to win the Western Conference in the preseason has more than lived up to the hype.

The Thunder have battled through adversity. Throughout the season they have seen Chet Holmgren, Isaiah Hartenstein, Jaylin Williams, Kenrich Williams, Jalen Williams, Alex Caruso and others miss significant time.

That could not deter the deepest team in the NBA from comfortably owning the league's best record, turning in 68 wins on the year. This is the most in Thunder franchise history, the most wins against the opposite conference in league history, the most double-digit wins in NBA history and the most road wins in franchise history.

On Sunday, with nothing truly at stake, the Thunder's depth shined with Branden Carlson's career night propelling them to another win in New Orleans.

With a 68-14 record, the Thunder became the 7th team to win 68 games and just the fifth franchise to accomplish this feat.

Of the list, five of the seven at least went to the NBA Finals, four hoisted the Larry O'Brien Trophy and the Boston Celtics in 1973 ended its season in the conference finals. The Thunder's fate is yet to be decided.

The Oklahoma City Thunder earned just its second 60-win season in club history and is eyeing its first NBA FInals berth since 2012.

The NBA Playoffs begin on April 19, with the Thunder playing Game 1 of the first round on April 20 in the Paycom Center. Oklahoma City will not know its matchup until Friday night after the NBA Play-In Tournament.
