The Indiana Pacers hosted the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday, looking to pick up their second win in as many games since returning from the NBA All-Star break.

Myles Turner entered the game with 8,622 career points, needing just 16 more to surpass Herb Williams for seventh place on the Pacers’ all-time scoring list. Turner delivered, finishing with 17 points and pushing his total to 8,639, inching his way further up the franchise leaderboard.

Right after Turner passed Williams, the Pacers announced it on social media to celebrate the achievement.

"congratulations to Myles Turner for passing Herb Williams for 7th place all time in scoring in our NBA franchise history with 8,639 points and counting ," the Pacers wrote.

The 6-foot-11 center now sets his sights on Chuck Person, who sits sixth on the Pacers’ all-time scoring list with 9,096 points. At just 28 years old, Turner has plenty of time to catch him.

Turner has played a major role in Indiana for a decade, spending all 10 NBA seasons with the Pacers after being selected 11th overall in the 2015 NBA Draft. Coming into the game, the two-time NBA blocks leader was averaging 15.1 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game.

The Pacers went on to defeat the Clippers by a score of 129-111. Aside from Turner's 17 points, he also finished with six rebounds and four assists.
