The Indiana Pacers’ campaign this season has been downright ugly. Much of their woes stem from the absence of their superstar floor general, Tyrese Haliburton.
Many pundits have agreed that if Haliburton had not injured his Achilles, the Pacers could have won the championship last year. But that’s hypothetical talk. Since then, the star guard has had setbacks in his rehabilitation. After 10 grueling months, he has now shared a major update that could definitely make the whole state of Indiana fired up.
“Played 5 on 5 today for first time since June,” Haliburton wrote on his official account on X.

That’s great news, indeed. Without their young floor general, the Indiana Pacers were a mess throughout their campaign this season. And there were many other core guys on their team who were swept up by the injury bug as well.
But after Hali’s latest news, it looks like Indy will be back on track to become contenders again as soon as next year.
Due to the Pacers’ woes, they’ll have a chance to add a top prospect should their pingpong balls fall into place in the upcoming 2026 NBA Draft. Right now, they have the second-best odds to select at the number two spot. And for Hali, he’s excited about the highly touted freshmen who will put their name in the draft this summer.
“Salute to all these freshmen killing like this in college hoops, it’s some special sh** goin on,” Tyrese Haliburton wrote on X.
Should Indiana not fall out of the top three, they’ll have a chance to add prospects like AJ Dyabantsa, Darryn Peterson, and Cameron Boozer next season. Truly, this is an exciting time to be an Indiana Pacers fan.
