Patrick Beverley, Bucks apologize to reporter for incident

Patrick Beverley and the Milwaukee Bucks were officially eliminated from the playoffs Thursday with a 120-98 loss in Game 6 of their first-round series against the Indiana Pacers.

After the game, Beverley sparked outrage over his exchange with a reporter in the locker room. Malinda Adams of ESPN attempted to ask Beverley a question, but Beverley shut her down after learning that she was not subscribed to his podcast. He then turned his attention to other reporters instead.

Beverley faced widepspread criticism over the stunt, including from multiple of Adams’ colleagues at ESPN.

Adams spoke out about the incident on Friday morning. She said that both Beverley and the Bucks reached out to apologize to her, adding that “grace and kindness always win.”

It was an ugly conclusion to the season for the former All-Defensive Teamer Beverley.

Towards the end of the Bucks’ blowout loss to the Pacers, Beverley also threw a basketball at some Pacers fans (for which he will probably be facing a suspension to start next season). This is far from the first time, too, that Beverley has lost control during a season-ending loss.
