Patrick Beverley has fired back at the comments Trae Young made in response to his initial tirade.
Patrick Beverley is one of the most controversial figures in the NBA space. Whether it’s on the court or off it, Beverley knows how to ruffle some feathers.
Most recently, Beverley sparked some discourse after his comments aimed at Trae Young, where he called out Young for his lack of playoff success.
Kevin Durant slammed Beverley for his delusional take, questioning why he would say such things. Trae Young would take time to respond to Beverley on his own.
And now, Beverley has fired back a brutal response at Young, even casting aspersions on him as a teammate and player.
Patrick Beverley took to social media to respond to the comments Trae Young made against him. Rather than rebut what Young said about him, Beverley went on the offensive.
He claimed Trae Young is a ‘coach killer’, warning Atlanta Hawks coach Quin Snyder, and other players and executives about what happens if they upset Young.
“Everyone that sees Trae Young gets fired! That’s the truth. They get thrown out of the building by their collars. You hear me?
“Players come, they see you, they get traded! Coaches come, they coach you, they get traded. GMs come, they govern the team, and then they get fired…
“Coach killer has people scared to play in Atlanta.”

It’s strange to see Patrick Beverley litigate this issue with Trae Young and double down aggressively when the superstar chose to respond.
Young has proven that he can be a star-level player in the NBA and can make deep playoff runs as the leader of his team.
The Hawks have actually failed to provide Young with the talent to help him compete. This is why they spent the summer trying to make Young happy with new signings for the Hawks.
Hopefully, with the new Hawks roster looking competitive, Young can prove his critics, like Beverley, wrong and put on some great performances.
