Paul Pierce claimed that Curry could be considered the best player of his generation over James because he won a unanimous MVP during LeBron’s prime.

Right now, James and Curry are tied with four championships each. If Curry were to win one more and surpass James, that would give him nice leverage.
However, the likelihood of that happening seems low. If anything, James currently has a better chance to win another championship with the Los Angeles Lakers than Curry does with the Warriors.
Curry is going to need some more help if he wants to have a chance to win another ring come playoff time.
