New Philadelphia 76ers recruit Paul George had more than a few things to say on Monday as he attended one of his first media availability sessions as a Sixer.

One of the biggest questions the Los Angeles native faced was about adjusting to life in Philadelphia. According to the nine-time All-Star, he is adamant that he will have a seamless transition in his new city.

Philadelphia 76ers News: Paul George’s Epic Will Smith Analogy

When a reporter asked George about how life has been since moving to Philadelphia, the 34-year-old revealed that his move to a new city could not have been any better. With regard to being able to fully adapt to life in the City of Brotherly Love, George cited the journey of Academy Award-winning actor Will Smith as his inspiration.

“I love the city,” George said of Philly. “It’s been great since Day 1 being here. I think I can make the transition. If Will Smith can go to Beverly Hills, I think I can come to Philadelphia.”

For those that require context, Smith was born and raised in Philadelphia. He would go on to become one of the top actors in Hollywood. George’s story, however, is in reverse. He comes from Los Angeles and will now transition to life in Philly.

As he said, it’s been so far so good since his blockbuster move to the Sixers. At the end of the day, George will always have Smith to turn to if he finds himself needing some inspiration.
