Before next week’s league-wide release of the 2025-2026 NBA schedule, key dates are being leaked from various teams, including the Phoenix Suns season opener. Phoenix will open up their 2025-2026 campaign at PHX Arena against the Sacramento Kings on Oct. 22nd, according to KCRANews Sean Cunningham. The Kings won last year’s series 3-1, but the Suns are a vastly different team.

Sacramento went through a major roster shakeup midway through last season, with the addition of Zach Lavine. The team went 14-18 with the newly acquired All-Star and wasn’t able to win its Play-In game against Anthony Davis and the Dallas Mavericks. The franchise is hoping with a full offseason, that the trio of Lavine, Demar Derozan and Domantas Sabonis can compete in a competitive Western Conference.
Phoenix currently doesn’t share the same optimism as its division rival, with the departure of Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal. However, the Suns will have its chance to prove many of their doubters wrong in Phoenix on opening night against a similar ranked opponent in the Kings.
