The Phoenix Suns start their rebuild into the future by selecting Khaman Maluach10th overall in the 2025 NBA draft. The 10th pick was arguably the most important piece in the Kevin Durant trade to the Houston Rockets, as it gives the franchise an opportunity to draft a potential All-Star to pair with guard Devin Booker. Phoenix was able to regain their own pick back from Houston to select Maluach in the lottery and looks to be a massive addition for next season.

What does Khaman Maluach bring to Suns:

ESPN’s Evan Givony on Maluach

“Maluach fills a clear need that many teams are looking for: He’s a true center who can serve as a defensive anchor in the paint and has significant potential for growth physically and skillwise. He plays with tremendous intensity and is beloved by coaches and teammates because of his off-court intangibles.”

Maluach stands 7’2 and weighs 250 pounds. He’s a traditional center at 8.6 points and 6.6 rebounds with 1.3 blocks in 21,3 minutes. His massive size and defensive IQ is a massive addition for the Suns to add a much-needed presence in the paint.
