The Detroit Pistons are bringing back big man Paul Reed on a two-year, $11 million contract, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.

The deal includes a non-guaranteed second year, The Detroit Free Press’ Omari Sankofa II reports, giving Detroit some flexibility moving forward as it continues reshaping its roster.

Reed, 25, was claimed off waivers by the Pistons in July after being waived by the Philadelphia 76ers. He appeared in 51 games for Detroit last season, averaging 4.1 points and 2.7 rebounds in just under 10 minutes per contest.

While his role fluctuated, Reed provided energy and defensive activity in the frontcourt and remained a favorite of coaches for his hustle and rebounding.
