On the court, Russell Westbrook is a fearless competitor. No matter the day, or the place, or the opponent, he's always ready to bring his bets and light a fire under his squad.

Off the court, Russ lives with a similar level of intensity.

Over the years, he has made it clear that he intends to live life his way, regardless of what the fans or media might have to say about it. As you might expect, that attitude is often demonstrated by the outfits he chooses to wear.

Recently, the Lakers star got slammed with negativity and criticism after posting pictures of his New York Fashion Week outfit. It featured him in a skirt.

For a taste at the level of backlash he received, check out this rant by Kwame Brown.

"Not no n-gga I ever grew up and messed around with gonna be walking around in the streets with a dress on and some muthaf---ing boots and keep my respect. and say he heterosexual," said Brown. "Now if he gay, cool I don't give a f-ck."

"But when you say you a heterosexual male and that's what you do, then f-ck you and that's my opinion."

It's obviously an extremely controversial and sensitive topic. So much so, in fact, it's still drawing some criticism today.

In an appearance on VladTV, famous rapper Boosie Badazz also went off on Westbrook for the photo shoot.

"As dads, bro, we got to protect our kids, bro,” said the rapper. “It’s getting most serious, sincere. As dads we got to say, ‘Son, that s— ain’t cool, son. You might like his game, but this s— is not cool, son. Nothing about this is cool, son.'

Somebody who's so masculine on the court, so angry... I don't like it."

Of course, Badazz himself is under fire for some comments he made about Dwyane Wade's daughter, who is transgender.

Still, in regards to the Russ photoshoot, his thinking seems to align with many others. It seems Westbrook crossed a line for a lot of people by posting that picture.

The craziest thing is, he doesn't seem to have a care in the world.
