Ahead of February's trade deadline, the Toronto Raptors made one of the biggest moves of the day by acquiring one-time All-Star Brandon Ingram from the New Orleans Pelicans. However, at the time of the trade, Ingram had been out of action for roughly two months due to an ankle injury, and he has yet to make his Raptors debut.

Regardless, the Raptors signed Ingram to a three-year, $120 million contract extension shortly after the trade. And, though he has yet to step on the court for Toronto, there is a lot to like about the addition of Ingram to the team.

With just a handful of games remaining on the schedule, it is still unclear whether Ingram will return to the court this season. However, recent reports have provided some more clarity regarding Ingram.

When he is healthy, Ingram is a top scorer and will provide a lot of value to a young Raptors team. However, it seems like a real possibility that Toronto will have to wait until next year to see Ingram suit up for them. According to Raptors beat writer Adam Laskaris, head coach Darko Rajakovic said that Ingram may not have enough time to play for the team this season.

"Brandon Ingram is wrapping up but Rajakovic acknowledges that the team is 'running out of time' with just five games left in the season," Laskaris wrote on X.

In 18 games with the Pelicans this season, Ingram averaged 22.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 5.2 assists while shooting 46.5% from the field and 37.4% from the three-point line.
