The Toronto Raptors have announced a new update on the state of small forward Kawhi Leonard.
The team said in a press release that he had successfully completed treatment for the swelling in his left knee. With that, the team also announced that he will now begin the process in order to return to action, and his progress will be updated in the next week.
to add some context, Leonard was ruled out prior to tip off in a game against the Minnesota Timberwolves on October 25, and a report from ESPN’s Shams Charania said that Leonard would miss a period of weeks due to the swelling.
Now, this is a very good sign for the Raps. The team just recently lost its matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers, where the team could’ve used Kawhi’s presence. However, they did just get a win against the Clippers, so it is an even bigger morale boost after a 1-1 stay in California.
