The Raptors are exercising their team option on Trayce Jackson-Davis‘ contract for the 2026/27 season, reports Michael Scotto of HoopsHype (Twitter link). The move ensures that Jackson-Davis’ $2.41MM salary will be fully guaranteed.

The former Indiana forward/center, who began his NBA career in Golden State as a 2023 second-round pick, was traded from the Warriors to the Raptors at this year’s in-season deadline in exchange for a 2026 second-rounder, which turned into Florida State’s Lajae Jones.

Jackson-Davis showed some promise during his two-and-a-half years with the Warriors, averaging 6.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 15.1 minutes per game across 166 total outings (54 starts). But he didn’t play much for Toronto after the trade, logging just 85 total minutes in 17 appearances during the regular season, with three garbage-time cameos in the playoffs.

Still, it appears the Raptors are confident Jackson-Davis could have more to contribute after a full summer and training camp with the organization. Of course, his expiring contract could also end up being used in a trade.

Toronto, which picked up Jamal Shead‘s 2026/27 option last week, still has one more team option decision to make today on Jonathan Mogbo.
