Report: Anthony Davis likely to sit out vs. Thunder due to Achilles injury

The Los Angeles Lakers will go for their fifth straight win on Monday night. However, they could have to do so without one of their best players.

According to ESPN's Dave McMenamin, Anthony Davis is "very likely" to sit out against the Oklahoma City Thunder as a precaution due to tendonosis of his right Achilles. Davis has reportedly been managing the injury for a while.

The 27-year-old has missed just three games this season. He is averaging 22.3 points, 8.6 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game this season while shooting 53% from the field and 31.5% from deep.

L.A. is currently second place in the Western Conference at 18-6, one game back of the 19-5 Utah Jazz, winners of their last four games.
