Lebron James Jr. has made up his mind.
The former USC Trojan entered the NBA Draft process as well as the transfer portal this spring, in search of a new home whether it be at the professional level or the collegiate level. As of Monday, Shams Charania has reported that James has finally made up his mind.
James is expected to stay in the NBA Draft, per Charania.
This week, he will be competing in the NBA Combine in Chicago in front of NBA personnel as he prepares for this year’s NBA Draft on June 26-27 in Brooklyn, New York.
Due to his connection with current Duquesne head coach Dru Joyce III, many thought that the Dukes would be a potential college option for James. Joyce played his high-school basketball alongside LeBron James at Saint Vincent-Saint Mary in Akron, Ohio under former Dukes’ head coach Keith Dambrot first, then under Joyce’s father Dru Joyce II.
James is a 6-foot-4 guard who appeared in 25 games for USC this season, averaging 19.4 minutes per game. James averaged 4.8 points and 2.8 rebounds per game as well as 2.1 assists per game. James shot 27% from three-point range. He came to USC as a former McDonald’s All American, playing his high-school ball at Sierra Canyon in California while his father stars for the NBA’s Los Angeles Lakers.
