Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard will reportedly head to Atlanta for the NBA All-Star Game on March 7.
According to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports, Lillard will compete in the three-point competition. It's unclear who else has been selected to participate in the contest.
While LeBron James, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kawhi Leonard, among others, have been critical of hosting the All-Star Game amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Lillard said he understands that it's a business decision.
The 30-year-old is third in the NBA in three-pointers made (105) while shooting 38% from deep. Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry is first with 140 three-pointers and Sacramento Kings guard Buddy Hield is second with 106.
Lillard, a five-time All-Star, has helped lead the Trail Blazers to a 17-10 record, good enough for fourth in the Western Conference. He's averaging 29.3 points, 4.4 rebounds and 7.4 assists per game.
